I’d give this six stars if I could. My partner said it was the best mac cheese she’s ever had (her words: Now I understand why people like mac and cheese! This must be a recipe from your Australian lady) and our lunch guest begged to take home all the leftovers.

Comment on Healthy Vegetable Soup (Extra Tasty!) by Paul Edgerton https://www.recipetineats.com/healthy-vegetable-soup/comment-page-5/#comment-1588179 Tue, 26 Mar 2024 23:52:06 +0000 https://www.recipetineats.com/?p=21762#comment-1588179 Needed a substantial veggie stew for a supper during Lent. Made as per the recipe but added three potatoes, cubed, and two cans of white beans. Maybe an extra cup of stock to balance the additions. Finished with a half bag of baby spinach. This dish is so robust and flavorful. It was fragrant and comforting.

I served this with your Quick Cheesy Garlic Bread. Perfect for dunking in this spicy soup.

My daughter needs her foods puréed. I added a dollop of sour cream to her puréed portion to tone down the cayenne just a touch. I think the puréed version is almost as good as the original, And that bit of tang played well against the smoke and heat.

Nagi, you keep supplying my family with its best recipes! There is something about the way you combine perfect explanation of technique with heart, heart, heart that is so unique and special.

Comment on Chocolate Mirror Glaze by Rachel https://www.recipetineats.com/chocolate-mirror-glaze/comment-page-7/#comment-1588164 Tue, 26 Mar 2024 22:16:22 +0000 https://www.recipetineats.com/?p=52265#comment-1588164 Excellent notes and instructions, thank you Nagi. Note 9; Moving the cake, I would recommend using a small thin cake board under the cake. Use the same size board as your cake for ease of transfer to and off the rack when glazing. It’s much easier and supportive when sliding the knives under the cake and removing once glazed and transferred to your presentation plate or board.
